Acne is a common skin condition whose main symptoms are shiny skin with dilated gates and the presence of blackheads, which quickly turns into unsightly pimples.
The main causes of acne are excess sebum, hormonal imbalance and bacteria, followed by improper hygiene, genetic predisposition, poor diet, high in fat and even the existence of a fungus in the body that promotes the growth of bacteria on the skin surface.
In this regard, it is necessary to follow some basic rules to prevent acne:
- Avoid drastic hygiene (never put your hands on your face, use a pH-neutral soap, do not wipe the face with a rough towel, but dab it with paper towels);
- Follow a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables, avoid sweets and processed foods, fatty foods, fried etc;
- Take walks and outdoor sports;
- Avoid stress as much as possible;
- Do not use cosmetics behind the ear and have patience, acne cannot be cured overnight;
- Consult a specialist in dermatology and do further analysis to the endocrinologist if symptoms persist for a very long time, regardless of treatment followed.
The following are a few natural herbal recipes that can help fight acne:
Lotions based on cabbage juices are highly effective in combating excess sebum, the main factor that leads to pimples. Swab several times a day with cabbage juice (squeezed and race) or apply poultices of cabbage leaves on affected and inflamed areas.
Lettuce – you could put lettuce leaves on your face, after you boiled them in the water with a few drops of olive oil.
Raw turnips should be eaten daily, washed and cleaned, chewing it well, to be easier to digest. It can be mixed with a little olive oil and lemon juice.
Compresses with nettles – put a heaping tablespoon of nettle in a pint of water and let it boil for fifteen minutes. Strain the liquid and put compresses on your face at bedtime. The treatment lasts one month, followed by a break of one month, after which it can be resumed.
Sorrel root – drink 3 cups of tea sorrel root daily, prepared as follows: 40 grams of shredded root boiling to a liter of water for 4 minutes. Allow to infuse and strain.
Soak dandelion (recommended also for rheumatism) – it is recommended especially for juvenile acne. Pick dandelion flowers when they start to wilt, in the evening take a handful of flowers in half a liter of cold water and let them soak overnight. Strain the liquid and scrub your face with it several times a day.
Tomato and sorrel juice – dab your face with a ripe tomato, after you cut in two, and let the juice to act at least 30 minutes. Then apply on your face crushed sorrel, let it stand for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water, not hot.
Lavender vinegar – you should fill a jar with dried lavender and crushed them without stuffing, then put vinegar, mixing well. Seal the jar and the composition will be allowed to soak for 2 weeks, after which it was filtered. Place in a glass of water half a spoon of vinegar and then soak compresses to apply on your face and leave it for 10-20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
Apple slices – rub the skin 2 times a day with a slice of apple or you could grate an apple, squeeze it, and then add 2 teaspoons of and then just apply the mixture on your face as a mask, leave to act 15 minutes and remove it with diskettes soaked in chamomile tea.
